About the Position

Job Title

Physical Therapist – Pediatric Inpatient / Outpatient

Location

Anchorage, AK | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Days | 4x10 or 5x8 (Traveler's Choice) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment services to pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Document patient care and progress using Epic electronic health records
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Participate in weekend coverage, with approximately 1–2 weekend shifts per month expected
Be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's

Required Qualifications

Active Alaska Physical Therapist (PT) License required (pending license accepted; license must be in hand for auto offer — estimated processing time 10–12 weeks)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience; first-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of experience
Pediatric physical therapy experience required
Proficiency with Epic charting system required
2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required during compliance process
Hepatitis B vaccine required; titers and declinations are not accepted
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience working in a Magnet-designated or Level II Trauma hospital environment
Familiarity with high-acuity pediatric patient populations
Flexibility to support staffing needs across affiliated locations within the region
